St John the Baptist Catholic Church

Located on Kintore Street

The Roman Catholic Church was officially opened and blessed by the Abbot of New Norcia, the most Rev. Bishop Filgentius Torres, in August 1909. The blue coloured iron-stone used for the walls was quarried from the property of the builder, DW Griffiths. The east wall of the church was built of brick to allow for future extensions.
